Well first I went to pick up some engine parts I had painted: timing belt covers, fan shroud, balance tube, throttle cover. They all came out great except the fan shroud =( It fisheyed everywhere and there a couple drips in it. They said the paint just wouldn't adhere no matter how thoroughly they cleaned it. So now it's a shiny, gloss black from a distance but up close it looks like shit. Damn. More importantly, I started changing my timing belt (or 'having it changed.') Apparently the belt was off: two teeth on the exhaust side and one tooth on the intake side!! WTF!!! Well hopefully that is the source of my long-standing hesitation issue. Does that sound plausible?
"Slow in, fast out!"
Any idiot can drive fast; what makes a driver good is the ability to screw up and still save it...
